Airobotics has been granted an FAA Type Certification for its Optimus-1EX drone, marking it as the first non-air carrier drone designed for autonomous security and data capture to achieve such a certification. This approval by the FAA allows the drone to operate in complex urban environments, significantly enhancing its capabilities for security and data capture applications. The certification, facilitated by Airobotics’ integration of a custom safety system from ParaZero, streamlines the approval process for various operational scenarios, including flights over people and beyond  visual line of sight operations. This development is a part of Airobotics’ strategy to deploy drone fleets as permanent infrastructures for smart city and public safety solutions.
